Does anyone know if you can do a secondary science PGCE with a third?

Some providers will accept a third class degree. It might be worth contacting the provider beforehand to see if they will consider a third class degree.

As far as I know, many providers have dropped the requirement for work experience because of the pandemic. If you can get some work experience, ideally in a school, that will look good on your application. If you cannot find a school for work experience, volunteering with any clubs that deal with young people is also an option.

There are definitely providers out there that will accept you with a third. Not all providers will, so you will need to contact them in advance of applying and ask how they would view your application.

A third may also be a negative in terms of getting your first teaching job- particularly if your A-levels are also weak. In science, you will likely get a job eventually, though- particularly if your degree is chemistry or physics. It may also depend on how recently you did your degree, and what your work history is like.
