I'm gonna take applied science next year and just wondering how many practicals do I need to know for each science?

The number and type (physics, chemistry, biology) of practicals you will do will depend on the units you're studying. It is applied science though, so you can expect there will be quite a few. Units like diseases and infections (unit 8?) had quite a few practicals per part, but the contemporary issues unit had none.
