travel from glasgow to craiglockhart campus (edinburgh napier)??
what are the best ways to get from glasgow to the craiglockhart campus? i don’t plan on getting accommodation.

Hi
Only options you have is by train or bus
Train from Queen Street ( depending on your start time and course you are doing ) - train fares are almost double prior to 9.15/9.30am and between 4.30pm & 6.15pm ........ Take train to Haymarket and then catch the lothian number 4 bus on darly rd that takes you to it gates. Allow for the rush hour traffic etc in Edinburgh to.
Or by bus from Buchanan Street station to again to Haymarket and its same as I said on catching number 4 bus to the gates. Bus is cheaper and no restrictions on price but factor in bus fare to.
If you drive then there is free on street parking either outside on main road or in the housing scheme right opposite but again road works/accidents etc to be factored in as well .
I had no choice but to go into private accommodation as was ok for to get to sighthill campus of Napier's when on university studies weeks but couldn't get into Edinburgh on time for placements especially starting at 7.15am or going home after a nightshifts having to pay nearly double the fares if took train but I mostly took the bus and then caught underground at Buchanan Street as I am from Glasgow. I found it easier to get accommodation in Edinburgh than travel all the extra hours per week.

A lot of our students travel through by train and then take the bus to campus as Tracey mentioned below, this is the most common option. There are parking permits available on campus or some parking nearby too. Our advice would be to try a route first and see what suits you best
