Emily_B any information you could add on it ??

As far as I am aware on this you must complete a certain number of hours or weeks on a placement as it's part of the coursework and without it then I think she would fail the course and would be therefore unable to go onto university for a nursing course ( if this is what she intends to do ) because this course gaunantee her a place at university.

Have they not suggested where she could do a placement about to allow her to look into it and try to get on one......!!!

It's similar to her doing a nursing course at university as must complete all the placement hours and the university studying hours to be able to get registered as a qualified nurse by the NMC.

I'm a registered midwife.

Yes, it is correct. Courses such as this, where there is placement involved, means you can't pass the course without going on and passing the placement.

As the others said, it's correct that they can do this as it is part of the course work that you must pass placement as you can't go on to university without it on completion of the course.
