Are these good uni choices?

I was wondering if these were good universities to study international relations. My predicted grades are AAB (history, politics and economics).

I'm applying to:
SOAS (AAB)
Royal Holloway (AAB/ABB)
Queen Mary (ABB)
Southampton (ABB)
Sussex (ABB/BBB)

Thanks for the help!
I'd aim a bit higher to be fair - maybe an AAA, the guidance usually says:
1 above
2/3 at the predicted grades
1/2 below (just in case)
@McGinger ?

Yes - I'd advise one higher choice as well.

QMUL is in Bethnal Green - not a great area of London.
Sussex will probably be in Clearing - you could still pick up a BBB place then if you needed it.

Higher grade choices - Bath (AAA or AAB Contextual - https://www.bath.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate-2022/politics/bsc-politics-and-international-relations/), or Bristol (AAA or ABB Contextual - https://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/2022/politics-international-relations/bsc-politics-international-relations/)

I did think about applying to one higher choice but I honestly think it will be highly unlikely for me to achieve AAA. Do you think it would still be worth trying knowing that?

Yes.
Because many Uni will still accept you if you miss a grade, and by the time you need to decide your Firm/Insurance you may feel more confident about the grades you could achieve. If you don't apply, you'll always wonder what might have happened if only you had.

Would it be best to switch out QMUL for Bath/Bristol or Sussex?

Depends on how keen you are on each of them and which one you arent that fussed about.
As I said, Sussex will probably still be a Clearing option, and you have several ABB options so QMUL isnt critical.
Have a look at both the Bath and Bristol courses and see what you think.
PS, This is the tourist film for Bristol : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khM7tjui86Q
