To answer this question you'll need to talk about the systemic and pulmonary circuits which make up the double respiratory system. How are they different and why is this useful/necessary? You'll need to discuss gas exchange in the lungs too. What adaptations do the lungs have to make gas exchange more efficient? How do these adaptations help?
