pakistan has seriously monetary and fiscal and political problems right now there is no caste in pakistan just hunger and earthquakes im personally donating 100 this month to them. Pakistan is just not pakistan anymore its fell behind, way behind.

I agree with you...the people to blame are the people in power...Pakistan just a year ago and before that was the third fastest growing economy with many developments promised...since late last year the "imploding" has become bigger...and since a "civillian" goverment has been elected in...Pakistan has turned worser...

Isn't the indian caste different though as it is based on Hindu culture?

In Pakistan, I beleive it varies from state to state... Baluchistan and Afghania (NWFP) have tribes, Mirpur Punjab, and Sindh have caste but they are completely different from each other...I specifically wanna know the Pakistanni Punjabi caste and find out what I am...

Sorry, it wasn't obvious which caste system you were referring to. In Pakistan (and Punjab) the caste system isn't really prevalent, especially not in the cities. Tribes etc. are common in balochistan and the NWFP, and in other rural areas around Pakistan; and that is the only thing you could remotely call a caste system. I don't think there's a way for us to tell you which tribe you're from

Well I know it's to do with region, tribes and so on, but seeing as skin colour is one of the main things that ties you to your caste it's the easiest way to seperate the higher castes from the lower castes surely?

I'm fairly sure skin colour doesn't tie you to your caste. It's to do with your families past and ownership, some families have had property/farms etc in their name for generations. Some have had nothing. Brahmins have been dark and light skinned.

Pakistan has always been verging on 3rd world. It's obviously going to fall behind with its constant backwards laws, just like all other countries with Sharia law have. Why do you think they have been so massively over shadowed by India?

It might just be a correlation, i'm not 100% it would have to be true every time. I'm reading into it, it's quite interesting. Just looking at rape law in Pakistan; a woman was raped for marrying a higher caste, she went to court and there weren't 4 male witnesses to back her up so she's being stoned soon. Bloody ridiculous backwards hell hole, and they wonder why the international circle doesn't want to deal with them.

pakistan dones't have sharia law...certain areas such as the tribal area has sharia applied but places like punjab dont...depends where you are..

There are no laws in Pakistan...money counts! Money creates the law...!

for example you can argue India is backwards...like the christain family that been slaugthered becasue they rescued a hindu girl of a lower caste who was abt to be raped...if she brought her case forward she would have been rejected not got any justice cos she is a lower caste even though the caste is banned..,

I certainly wouldn't set up a business there! The only reason they've had any real success of late is because they've been buffered by America in their war on terror.

Money means everything in Pakistan.
I hate the attitudes people have there.
They really need to be educated properly. It'd help.

india's doing amazing compared to pakistan but equality in all old or new 3rd world countries will be poor but its about putting yourself in a strong position which i think india has done, however its been backed by the U.S and pakistan has not maybe due to the whole terrorist thing who knoes, but it lacks trading partners, poor deficit, not a steady government so wont attract inward invesment, currency flucuations are high, any investment poured in is just aid which is only for one - off consumption. I think alot of pakistans investments have been pour maybe its been a victim of modern day colonism? who knows

Yep, crazy things happen over there. In the cities this kind of rubbish is dying out, just a matter of time.

You have to wonder what would educate Pakistani's though. Many here are 3rd or 4th generation yet they still insist on marrying in their own gene pool and having mutated children. That is a basic thing which has been proven time and time again that people who reside in the west should understand. Despite this many of my Pakistani friends are still looking at marrying relatives.

Pakistan does not have "Sharia law" as a legal system. Some aspects of it were amended into the constitution later on.

Old habits die hard. Pakistanis generally don't prefer marrying outside their family because they don't trust others and want to keep wealth in the family. Not that I agree, but..

Then explain to me why 80% of all imprisoned females in the country are there because they admitted to being raped?

They can be educated. It's just that they're ignorant and tend to be oblivious to change. That's the frustrating bit - they know they're wrong, but don't act upon it.
Plus, you have to remember, the parentals of many insist on marrying 'within the family' and some find it hard to go against their wishes.

Source?

Secondly, that is more to do with the misogynistic nature of Asian society than it does with any law.
