Hello, I am currently in year 12 at sixth form studying the a-levels: Biology, Chemistry and English literature.

I really do not enjoy chemistry, I dread the lessons, my teachers are rude and I achieved a grade E in my first assessment. I also have decided that I don't want to do a medical based degree, so chemistry isn't really needed.

I originally considered taking sociology and I am interested in the subject.

Is it too late to change from Chemistry to Sociology?

you’d have to ask your sixth form how they manage subject changes (it’s a little late in the year) but they might let you as long as you’re willing to do the catch up

its not too late to switch alevels i think you should do sociology but only if it fits what you want to do later like if you want to do medicine then you will have to do chemistry
