Will the grade boundaries be lower for 2021 retakes as opposed to 2020 retakes? To reflect the fact that record percentages of grades were awarded A* or A? I have my Biology retake tomorrow and I’m nervous, hoping that it’ll be easier than the Nov 2020 retake grade boundaries, despite the fact that they’re already low, since I’m hoping for an A*

They should be much different. Whether that means they'll be higher or lower, I'm not sure, and only you guys can affect that. The grade boundaries are always (as AQA says themselves) based on the cohort of the current students. So if you all do amazingly then the grade boundaries will be very high and it will be harder to get a 9 or an A/A*, or if you all do awfully (because it's a horrible paper not because you guys are stupid!) then the grade boundaries will be very low and it will be easier to get a higher grade if you simply do a little bit better than average.

Hope this helped and good luck with your exam tomorrow, and remember if you do bad (and if everyone else struggles) it's likely the boundaries will be much lower so you won't do as bad!
