Hi!! Hope you doing okay Thank you for taking the time to help me with the following question... I'd appreciate any workings & if you have a possible answer that would be even better.
Question 3. The school tombola at the Christmas Fayre displays a sign '1 in 5 tickets is a winner'. Meghana decides to test this claim. She buys 12 tickets & none of them a winning tickets. c. How many Tickets would she have to buy for the critical region to have a non-empty lower tail. So far I have: P = winning ticket Null hypothesis: p = 0.2 Alternative hypothesis: p ≠0.2 Significance level: 5% (2 tail test) X~B (12,0.2) P(X=0) = 0.06872 (>0.025 so accept null hypothesis/null hypothesis remains unchanged) I know a lower tail test is <= and a non empty set is a set with elements. And I don't know where to go from there. Thank you
