Yep, random thought in the middle of the night. So, imagine you could go back two or three years ago to 2018/2019, what advice would you give yourself?

Mine would be to not pursue teaching/my PGCE, yes I thought it was what I wanted but tbh, I’m too soft a person to be a teacher. 🤦*♂️

Wish I’d gone straight into science and been further ahead than I am right now. 🙂

Always trust your gut instinct and listen to what your common sense is telling you.
Avoid that uni and everyone proud of being an alumni.

Love one of those!

Mine would probably be to not change for others and just embrace yourself, no matter how weird or introverted you appear and/or act.

Right now I’m an associate practitioner for the NHS (my degree is biomedical science but preference is clinical biochemistry) and am currently looking for work as a trainee biomedical scientist to get a HCPC so I can actually become a BMS. 🙂

Sadly the degree isn’t enough as legally in the UK, in order to become a biomedical scientist, you need to be registered with the HCPC.

Failing to get it within the next few months, I am hoping to apply for a masters in Biomedical Science but specialise in clinical biochemistry. 🙂

Law, as a degree, is both fun and dry. You need to be highly motivated.

Apply to more 6th forms so I don't end up at my last choice and have a terrible time there.

I'd tell myself to go to therapy. Anxiety disorders are bigger issues when you go to uni and have to start living with strangers (I'm literally scared of my housemates) and doing adult things by yourself.

Simply "Get help and be honest about it this time " , still tell myself that just don't have the motivation or time, I'm very much my own worse enemy by an infinite amount

Yeah teaching has been really difficult tbh its not your fault. If things were normal then teaching would be so much easier haha well i say that 😂. Advice id give to myself probably get doen to university earlier haha because I feel so old now im here at uni haha but loving the course.

Nothing, really. I've not been taken by surprise by anything with the exception of my health - and there's nothing I could have done about that

Actually try on your mocks so you don’t get screwed over by predicted grades.
