i have family members in different parts of the world we are not that close but have a whatsapp group chat where people share random stuff. I don't really engage with it because i don't know what to say it doens't usually include me anyway. One of my relatives called me recently annoyed that I don't interact in the group so i said i would try more. However i had a lot of deadlines lately and was really preoccupied so didn't even open the chats. Today i checked and saw they posted something several days ago indirectly related to me, i hadn't seen it but today they randomly left the group chat. Is it my fault have i made them mad? I can't keep up with the chat but is it that big of a deal?

No it is not your fault!!
Social media can be too invasive, and no-one should be forced to use it! On top of that you gave valid reasons as to why you weren't participating which they should respect!

Definitely not your fault - the need to respect you have other priorities other than a WhatsApp group. To make a post indirectly related to you is immature and unnecessary. Don’t apologise for other people’s insecurities. Good luck with the rest of your deadlines
