Im first year and i study law at bristol and my attendance has dropped to around 50% because I had a really bad chest infection in the first 3 weeks. from what it seems, I haven't missed that much however im worried about my attendance. does anyone know if this will affect anything?

If you want to be sure, you could always have a chat to the teaching assistants/lecturers just to be upfront about it. They might be able to point you to resources which could assist you.

if you have been ill for 3 weeks you most certainly need to raise this with your department and fill in an extenuating circumstances form. This means that at the exam board they will take this into consideration if you are borderline pass/fail. The department may also give you extra time for assignments.
