I’m taking 4 A-Levels, them being Maths-Psychology-IT-Biology, and I really do not wanna take biology. Not only do I no longer find it enjoyable the teacher is tense he’s also an a*s that literally only picks on me to answer out of the blue, then the class is silent the entire lesson and no one even bothers to answer the questions. I have a bad memory so I’m struggling to remember the load of work and I have a feeling it’ll start to interfere with my other subjects in the future. I asked if it would be possible to drop biology a few weeks ago and the head said “It’s too late to drop it now so you’ll have to at least take it to an AS-Level”. I don’t see the problem with me dropping the subject seeing as I have 3 others anyway and I haven’t been taking it too long (only a few months). What’s your opinion on the situation? Should I press further to leave it?

Drop it if you truly don’t need it and don’t think you’ll do well in it.

speak to your tutor or careers about your options. Doing an extra A-Level you don't like and is difficult (from my own experience) doesn't seem like the best thing to do. Biology is very content-heavy and there's a lot of stuff you do just have to memorise.

If I was you, I would push further in dropping it. I knew people that dropped a subject later on in the year and now they're on their 3rd year of college to finish their other A-Level they started a year late. Get your parents to call in if you have to - it's your time/future.

Maths, IT and Psychology is suitable for Law and Accounting but you need to achieve BBC or above to get a school leaver role with PwC, Deloitte, KPMG or EY.
