Can I do A level maths without doing further maths at IGCSE? I have had a lot of people say its quite impossible to do A level maths without IGCSE further maths but I know A level maths is something I want to study ( and have to for degree i want to pursue at uni ) Is that true? I understand i will have to put in more work than people who did further maths IGCSE but will it be so difficult to the point I wont be able to do it?

I did A-level Maths without any form of Further Maths (not A-level, nor GCSE), and it was fine and I found it very enjoyable. As long as you're willing to practice questions, it's really not too difficult an A-level. I got an A* for reference.

IGCSE Further Maths is not needed - I teach in a high performing school and we don't do level 2 FM at all. Our students get excellent A level results and places at top unis each year.

I got a 6 at GCSE Maths, and a B at A-Level maths, and went on to do Economics at York, so, no, you don't need FM Maths.
