I am considering applying for Philosophy and Economics courses for September 2022 entry. I am currently taking a gap year and hold a Philosophy place at Durham, but have had late thoughts about applying for this dual honours course. I am thinking of applying to Bristol, York and Edinburgh among others. Anyone who is on one of these courses or who has applied for them in the past, I would be really grateful if you could tell me how competitive these courses tend to be? Would a good set of grades realistically be enough to get me onto the course, or is it such that you also need to have an excellent personal statement and good references?
