Hi again.
I got a 7 so not the best but what I would advise is doing 2 practice questions per week. (Don't bother with time limit) and if you can ask your teacher to mark them. Also defo look at grade 9 writing from previous years and learn the structure of what makes a good response. + Focus on the big mark questions, they're almost always overlooked.

Hi,

By using any structure, you can always achieve a grade 9. It's just a matter of how well you write it. You might have heard of PEEL or PEARL but I use my own which is PEWHALE.

Why has the writer done this?
How does this make the reader feel?

Note: You should explain your point after you answer every letter of the acronym and try and throw in some quotations. I recommend 2-3 per paragraph. Go in-depth with the analysis.

Avoid making it long-winded and get straight to the point and introduce new ideas to your paragraphs.

This acronym has helped me countless times and I'm on the pathway to achieving a grade 9 in English so I hope it helps you too!
