A level revision

How many hours per week is needed to revise for each a level subject? (Maths chemistry and biology)
It honestly depends how quickly you pick up the concepts of each subject. Some topics you'll find easier, some harder. Just make sure you do enough extra work (and go through things in free periods, etc. with teachers if youre struggling) to the point where you comfortably grasp every part of the syllabus. There's no number you can put on the hours you need to spend revising, though. As long as by the end of Year 13 you feel confident that you can nail most, if not all, of the types of question that could come up on the exam (that's why doing past papers to get a feel for what you can be asked is crucial, as simply knowing the content isn't enough at A Level).

Would you recommend starting past papers around about now?

Are you in Year 12 or 13? If you're in Year 12, I recommend doing past AS Level papers once you've covered all the content for this year. If you're in Year 13, you can do some AS Level Papers right now to consolidate your Y12 work, and in a few months you should have covered the entire syllabus and will be able to do some full Year 2 papers.
