Is it wrong of me to give my cat-child catnip?

Just wanted some fresh perspective on this. It would be unquestionably wrong to give a human-child psychotropic drugs that where not prescribed for them.
One of my cats goes crazy for catnip. Rolls in it and licks it and then stares at the wall. The other 3 don't give a ****.

My cat has a mid level response to cat nip, she’ll bite my hands, pounce on imaginary mice and pur excessively.
