Have you sent off your UCAS application yet?

We're getting close to the deadline now, but have you sent off your UCAS application yet?

If you have, how are you finding waiting for offers? Are they coming quickly or is it quite slow?

If you haven't sent it off yet, are you waiting until January? How are you finding getting your application sorted, and is there anything we can help you with?

Good luck to everyone applying this year!

I sent my application off 3 weeks ago and received 3 offers 48hours after submitting the application (1 of the offers was from my first choice) I then received 1 more offer 5 days ago, so I'm just waiting on my last offer (hurry up Keele lol) to finally be able to choose my firm and insurance choices. I applied to start a course for cyber security with a foundation Year in September 2022 and Staffordshire uni is my first choice as I think it fits perfect for me the location, travel to uni but also to get back home to see my family occasionally, accomodation varieties and prices, head of cyber security and lecturers look great after trying to find info on them, student reviews and I loved it when I went for the open day. Keele would probably be my insurance choice as it has a lot of the same qualities as Staffordshire however travel and accommodation is a bit better for Staffordshire uni

Goodluck with your applications guys I hope you all get your first choices.

Wow amazing!! We both have chosen to go down the route of an extremely in demand skill in the UK!!

I received my results already as I took a gap year this academic year. I did very badly in my A Levels (as I was going through a lot of family and personal issues at college, however I feel great now and know that I am in the perfect position to give my best at uni) I only achieved 56 ucas points but it's enough to get onto a foundation Year course at quite a few unis.

Which unis have you (or thinking about) applied to? (I applied for Staffordshire University, Keele University, Anglia Ruskin University, Buckinghamshire New University and Southampton Solent University as I went down the route of applying to unis which I was 99% of getting an offer for, maybe the way I went about applying was all wrong but I'm relieved aswell that I have 4/5 offers and am just waiting on Keele now,)

The UCAS deadline is 6pm on Wednesday 26 January 2022.

Please get your application completed well before this.

1) Remember that you need to leave enough time after you have completed Pay/Send for your school or college to check your application, add your reference and predicted grades, and then send your application on to UCAS before the UCAS deadline.

2) The UCAS website gets incredibly busy in the last few days and often slows down or becomes unresponsive. Leaving things this late is risky, so get your application finished now - stop putting it off.

4) Competitive courses and top Unis will close their courses on the 26th. Other 'lower' Unis and/or less popular subjects may remain open after this but can, and do, close after that without notice - so don't gamble on still being able to submit an application after this date.

5) Every year there are applicants who miss the deadline. Unis can be brutal about this - if they close the course on the 26th, that is it. It wont matter how good your application is, you will be rejected.

And if you need to ask a Uni a question, do it early - their phones and emails get busy too.

Good luck everyone.
