How to revise for A-Level History

Hi, I'm currently a Year 13 student and I've got an effective study method for two of my subjects except for History. What is the best way to revise for History and to memorise information. I am someone with a bad long term memory but a good short term memory. Any help would be much appreciated.

heyy i’m doing y13 a level history too
i do british war and welfare and, tsarist and communist russia
i make notes from the textbooks and then i memorise them by reading/covering/saying it out loud and then use blurting to see if i still remember them
I don't do history or any essay subject but active recall is the way to go for long term memory
