It's generally agreed that if you have covid you shouldn't even be training, your body needs to fight the disease, many fit people have suffered long covid cos they overdid it while ill.

If tests were 100% effective and players are tested daily that would be good, but is that the case?

tests are nowhere near 100% effective unfortunately, but yea if too many people are getting it then shut down training for a while and get them to lower the amount they are training

Tests will never be 100% effective due to the nature of the virus and in reality football in not nearly as important as these players health so I believe that they should close training and stop matches in order to let the players have to time to relax and recover form the virus.

See it in the same way: if footballers are contagious with covid, they must not need to train to prevent another contagion for the rest of the players.
