I did GCSE French, got a 9, but can't remember much of it at all now I'm Yr 13. I used a website called Memrise which basically helped me remember how to spell, pronounce and say all sorts of words and phrases. If you manage to find the course/module you're studying on Memrise, it can be a walk in the park - IF you revise it frequently. 6 Isn't bad either - I was predicted a 7 I think in Yr 11. I guess my teacher just felt generous when grades were teacher assessed. It helped I was the only person in class that actually behaved... So maybe I was just lucky.

im in year 11 still so listen to people who have actually done the gcse already, but anki has helped me so much. Ive been using it every day and am predicted a 9 and got the highest mark in the year in our year 10 end of years if that gives some perspective on how good it is. if you dont know what anki is, just ask and ill happily explain.

Past papers are a life saver! My teacher also printed out a bunch of practice questions for reading and writing, which were super helpful! Try and read some French media from time to time as well. For writing, make sure you practise your TONIC and complex structures! Throw them in whenever you can!
