My school doesn't let you do anything below further maths at GCSE. Is it the same as normal maths A level?

I didn't do GCSE FM but I do A-level maths/FM and I don't think GCSE FM is the same as A-level maths.. maybe year 12 maths but definitely not year 13.

I also don't understand your first sentence.

Sorry, that makes no sense.

In Year 11 you do GCSE, level 2 FMaths [GCSE] - A level is neither of these.

But below GCSE further maths is normal GCSE maths, hence you’re saying that your school doesn’t offer normal GCSE maths, which is incorrect as that is mandatory.

I thought it went foundation, higher, further. And my school only lets you do further (apart from bottom set which do higher)

Not really - level 2 FM includes some topics not even in A level - we don't teach it as we feel there are better ways of preparing for A level.

You have to take GCSE - forget level 2 FM - that is an optional extra - unis want to see a GCSE grade 9.
