MSc Adult Nursing January 2022 Application

I applied to study MSc Adult Nursing at Huddersfield, I got a conditional offer and sent off my PEP as well as my DBS application and medical history. I haven't heard from the university about the status of my application and therefore I'm getting very worried. I'm due to start the course in less than a month so I was wondering if anyone else had heard back from their application to the same course? Does anyone actually have an unconditional offer and has been accepted onto the course officially?

Hi @anonymous #1

Would there be any reason why your UCAS hasn't updated from Conditional to Unconditional? Are you still awaiting grades / your course to complete?

May I suggest that you contact the University directly on [email protected]. This email is specific to application enquiries so hopefully they'll be able to help you.

Please keep me updated

I've emailed the university quite a few times but they never get back to me. I got an email from them on Friday saying they're gonna escalate my issue to a tutor to get back to me before Christmas but that hasn't happened yet.

Little bit disappointed with the communication from Huddersfield so far especially when I did my interview and sent all my requirements off months ago now. It's giving me a lot of anxiety.

Hello,

I'm really sorry this has been your experience so far! If you don't hear anything in the first week of January I would suggest calling the student recruitment team on 01484 472 625 - I believe their opening hours are 10am-4pm. Hopefully they'll be able to update you properly and advise accordingly.

Please keep us updated.

HiI’ve got the exact issue, I turned in my PEP first week of November and never heard back from them. I called them every week from the end of November until Christmas week and last update I got was “you should get a reply today, watch your email” I’m really worried especially because it’s a few weeks to start date.

It's really worrying isn't it!
I'm sorry you're going through the same thing, I rang last week and they said they were going to assess some stuff on Tuesday in the new year and then ring me with the updates. I'm hoping for good news and I'm sort of glad I'm not the only one who's been having major communication issues with them...
The University re-opens on Tuesday, 4th January - hopefully, you'll be able to get some answers then. However, if not, please message on here and we will chase it for you.

Have a lovely New Year

Hi,

I rang today asking if there were any updates but apparently the tutor needed to approve something which they haven't done yet and there isn't anything else I can do. I'm not sure why it's taken so long and I'm a bit concerned I just won't hear back but I don't want to keep ringing and bothering them.
Has there been big issues with the department which means they're behind on approving the PEPs or is it just the few unlucky people who haven't heard back yet?

I also rang today but didn’t get an answer, I sent an email to students recruitment, they said they had forwarded it to the department and maybe I’ll get a reply. I just don’t think it’s okay that it’s two weeks to the course and we’re not even sure of our status. Some of us need to make plans but we can’t do that if we don’t know what’s going on.
Hi both

The campus fully opens for lectures tomorrow, with people returning into their offices and departments. Please telephone first thing - do not worry about 'over-calling' them. I am also going to send an email for you both today, so that this is logged on to the system. I can only apologise on behalf of the University itself.

Please keep me updated

Hi I called today, they’ve confirmed I’ve got a place to start on the 24th, I’ve still not received an email, they’ve said they are still working on that. Thank you guys so much for this mini mental support.

Hi all, it’s quite sad that it has been over a monthsince I passed my interview and submitted my PEPas a home student for MSc Adult nursing, universityof Huddersfield but not heard anything back. Theonly feedback I got 2 weeks ago was the tutorresponsible for marking this PEP document and whoapparently determines whether you pass or not wason holiday. You would think that a massive school likethat would have more than one person handling thatdepartment? I called today after emailing them andthey said systems are down. Same rigmarole. It isquite a sad experience as it has given me a lot ofanxiety and has forced me to reconsider my choice ofschool for nursing. Is there a student rep here at allthat can look into this matter?
