Are we all damaged from cigarettes even though we don’t smoke?

Even if you or your parents didn’t smoke apparently damaged DNA/genes can be passed down from your grandparents

I think pretty much everyone’s grandparents and great grandparents will have smoked so is this not a bit worrying https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/10/181016142422.htm
The article you linked only seems to mention paternal nicotine exposure causing things like ADHD, and it's completely possible to live a full life with ADHD, so unless I missed something I don't quite get what there is to be worried about.

Ease up. It’ll be fine..
Not a lot we can do either way, smoking is going to become a dying industry soon enough anyway.
It was pretty hard to avoid second hand smoke in the 20th century, even in the 90's, it was very popular in public areas. My childhood was fantastic, but the smoking in the 90's was awful.
