From my experience in Health and Social care is you get very poorly paid for the responsibility of the jobs. All I get after doing care for 17 years is minimum wage. I believe childcare is a better paid way to go, especially if you support disabled children. You also need to be able to support people with personal care meaning bathing/ showering them, bottom wiping duties etc and protecting yourself from accusations made by some residents.
