What could go wrong?

I'm in my early 30s and sexually experienced. I'm seeing a guy who is also sexually experienced. I think I might want to take things to the next level, but worried about what could go wrong. Also worried that he might be gay hence the lack of sexual experience, which would be a bigger disappointment should we try to take things to the next level.

I'm worried I could cause myself shame if I open myself up.

So you're both experienced.
You're dating.
You think he's gay? Why is he dating you then?
Why do you sound inexperienced? Ngl there must be a typo in the OP

You are right. It was a typo! I meant he is inexperienced.

I've never slept with anyone. Only done kissing.

I wonder if he's gay because he's never had a girlfriend.

But you are female (I'm assuming) and he is dating you? Why would he date a female if he is gay? And if you've never had a boyfriend, does that make you gay?

Could you edit the OP?
Are you both inexperienced?
Just bc someone hasn't had a girlfriend does not mean they are gay. Don't label someone without knowing the facts.
Are you in a relationship?

No it's not possible to edit the OP. I'll update it in the next post though.

Yes both inexperienced.

We have just been on a few dates that's all.

Communication is key in a relationship. Better to talk to him.

Gonna guess a typo and you mean you’re both inexperienced

Just run with it, you’ll both be on the same page and not know what you’re doing so enjoy it. Communication is key

Why you worried he’s gay? If he’s with you, I’m sure it’s not the case. But if stil not sure, then talk to him and explain how you feel, thoughts, concerns

You’ll be more ashamed if you don’t say something now, and let’s things go on and he turns out to be gay or if there’s something else gojng on rather than just being open and honest.

If you can’t trust him enough to be open and honest about this, then probs not the right guy

Don’t think too hard about it. Listen to your body and natural instincts.

If you think he’s gay because he’s never had sex with a woman, by your own logic, wouldn’t that make you a lesbian?
