It was either 449 or 499 but good luck finding any at those prices now. You're paying 2x that now

Sign up to one of these instant message alert services, as far as I know the only UK retailer selling FE at MSRP is scan.co.uk - they release their stocks every 2 weeks or so, and they go within minutes (for the 3060 Ti, seconds!) so you'd have to be quick.

It's not like nVidia / AMD are charities, and they are clearly making the most out of the graphics cards shortage
In 2019, the 1650 was US$159 MSRP, the vastly more superior 1650 SUPER was US$169 MSRP. Both had 4Gb only, but the RTX 3050 (8Gb) which is a lot better than the 1650 (interestingly, not compared to the SUPER version) is US$239 MSRP.
It's also clear that the AIBs (e.g. Asus, MSI, Palit etc.) are not helping and are releasing non-FE cards at vastly inflated prices.
Back in the day, MSRP was the absolute ceiling of the price of a card, I remember getting the Radeon HD 7770 GHz edition, MSRP ~ US$160 for £66 new from Amazon
