If I accept offers and apply for student finance, how do I get out if I then decided to take a gap year or not go to uni anymore?

You can just cancel your SFE application online at any point (and even then SFE won’t pay a penny until your university confirm to them that you have enrolled and attended your degree so if you don’t enroll then it will be cancelled by them eventually)
