Starts at Easter, runs through till September without a break. By Mrs Patels standards, taking the summer holidays in to account, teachers are basically working part time hours for full time pay.

Ok.

So is there going to be like 25 days leave or what?

Edit
And is this just for 2021?

The second post in this thread explains why.

There has actually been policy suggestions to extend the school day by an hour or shorten holidays as catch up strategies, but nothing formal.
Not remotely believable.

A thatcherite leaning female politician fuelled by the insatiable ambition that Priti Patel has would never be satisfied with merely antagonising the teaching unions by being the Conservative education minister responsible for introducing 11hr extended school days.
12.5hrs would be the minimum school day extension implemented.
Excluding all breaks- including lunch and daily 'rule brittania' whole school assemblies to promote british patriotism from the age of 4.

The fake news thread was never meant to make sense. Fake news has got to have something in common with real news.

Fair enough, I guess this will become a dynamic thread based on current events?
The mods are not going to be happy with the change of title- unless you add the words FAKE NEWS.
Preferably in very large bold bright red text.

Point taken. Thanks LM.
It’s coming around the corner though, I bet you.

That's going to cost a heck of a lot. Like £50tn? How on earth will that be funded?

A government spokesman has revealed that after a comprehensive review of the evidence, including social media usage data, the conclusion that ‘COVID is a disease which is exclusive to the middle class’ has been drawn. This is ‘good news [for the tax payer] as free lateral flow tests are no longer justifiable. If you can afford to buy a coffee on the way to work, you need to test’.

This is currently, at this point in time *FAKE NEWS*.

That's not true, Prince William had it.
