I think this is before GCSE options lol, but I may be wrong, as the OP is in year 8.

purpleblob_20 I wish you all the best. I admire your commitment to studying at such an early age. Look forward to hearing any updates.

Oh damn, I didn’t really factor that too much. I read the year 8 part but still assumed that they were GCSEs

I also admire their commitment. They’re in year 8 and they’re already showing that they care about studying. Simply shocking, yet amazing. Well done OP

Same lol. I wish I was this inclined towards studying. But, in the end, it’s always good to see someone else being inclined towards studying

Just science in general or any specifics? With how bad my physics teacher is at teaching, physics is a chore. And there’s always the specific mark scheme problem in biology but that can only be worked on with practice (which I cba to do ).

PRSOM - My physics teacher was also awful - we did the life cycle of a star multiple times and never did a single practical till the final year with the new teacher who said the only physics supplies were a boombox and cables I somehow salvaged a 5 on Foundation paper though could've done higher looking back now.

We got there in the end at least lol.

What is it with physics teachers being bad at teaching? I’ve seen too many stories of bad physics teachers just on TSR alone. With how bad your physics teacher sounds like, I can only say congrats on your paper!

Also, incidentally, you sound like someone who has a nice passion for science. If you don’t mind, I was wondering, is there a specific part of science that you like or is it just science in general?

My 2nd one I had for a year was amazing - but yes I don't hear much good about physics teachers.

Yes I am - mainly biology but also chemistry too.

Interesting :yep:
If you don’t mind answering, of course, do you think that a potential job could stem from this?

The teacher student dynamic is very important. I did enjoy certain aspects of physics such as radiation and electricity however the teacher didn't make learning enjoyable or sufficient. He photocopied our CGP work book we used to do in class, which we didn't go through the answers for, as a mock for exam. Unfortunately the more laid back class mates of mine didn't receive a 4 in Physics and I did somewhat surprise myself.

I think you're studious and wise to make the most of your time and find the balance between socialising and studying.

Free science lessons do great videos for physics and chemistry GCSE revision.

Best wishes with your studies
