Because I have a deferred entry place but I’m thinking about reapplying.

I think there is a slight increase in the number of 18year olds in the population this year, so it is technically a bit harder. The actual answer for you will depend on the course you are applying for, the unis and your predicted/achieved A level grades.
If you have strong grades, you will be in a good position to get offers, I wouldn’t worry about which year might be harder.
Why are you reconsidering your differed place?

I have a deferred place at sheffield but I want to go to Liverpool as I like the city more, but I don’t want to reapply and get declined by both places and then I’m screwed so I’m not sure if I should risk it. I have Sheffield’s asking grade for law which is D*DD in BTEC and I have 6 GCSEs 4-9 including an 8 in English but i don’t wanna be in a position where I have none of the unis so I’m just stressing lmao. Thanks.

Talk to Sheffield about whether they’re likely to honour your deferred offer if you withdraw and reapply.
