The Student Room Group

Studyies

I left my studies back in 2019. but i want to continue studing again.
I've decided that iwill self study for this may/june exam.
How should i slef study economics at home ?
So the first thing I would look at (if you haven't already) is what exam board will you be using, as this may make a difference to what is on the curriculum for that A level.

Then I would get the handbook if there is one for teachers teaching that subject- you will need to break down the syllabus down into bite-size chunks. then look at how much you already know and feel confident on and how much needs work.

If you are also working at this time you may want to structure out how much time a week you can realistically devote to your studies.

If you can afford to maybe look for a tutor that you meet maybe once a month to get an outside perspective on your abilities/be able to test and mark without a bias.

Get past papers once you feel confident and do them in exam-like conditions- not at home. find a space at a local library (you may be able to request a conference room).

Good luck
