Boob job

mods keep anon or please delete thanks

Hi so i'm wanting a boob job, i'm 17 at the moment & will be 18 next june. i was wondering if anybody who has had a boob job on here can tell me how long the whole process takes? I.e from your first appointment/consulation to the actual surgery. I'm wanting to know as i'm starting uni next september instead of this one, i'm going to work & save up the money to fund the op. I just need to know when to start looking into surgeons etc. thanks x

Unless you're literally flat-chested, don't: augmented breasts look, frankly, awful.
What Profesh said.
Fake boobs look awful.

And you hve to get them re-done every couple of years
and scars :s-smilie:
Agreed I would prefer natural boobs on a girl even if they were small.

:ditto:

and there are so many things that could go wrong.
the OP wasn't asking whether she should get them done or not, just information about getting them done. you guys really aren't being helpful.

OP what size are you?

and i think google is your best bet for finding anything out about boob jobs

i'm a small 32a
so yeah. i understand the extent of the problems assosiated with having one, however i have a head on my shoulders & am doing this for confidence reasons. tbh i think i'd prefer a fake chest & alot more confidence than to remain like this.
Anyway i don't feel the need to justify reasons, i'm not asking for peoples opinions on getting one or not, i'd simply like to hear other peoples experiences to know how long the process takes
thanks the website lnik, that looks helpful

OP you prob won't find many people who have had a boob job

it might be a good idea to wait a bit longer though to make sure you have like finished growing.

I havn't changed since i was about 13/14 so i doubt that i'll grow more. and yeah it's a bit of a long shot asking on here, but i guess it's worth a try

Have you thought about speaking to someone about building confidence in your body? It may be a better alternative (at the moment at least) to surgery...

I'm not really into the whole alternative therapies thing, i'm trying not to be cynical but i really don't think looking into a mirror & telling myself 'i am beautiful' will work for me. maybe it's down to individual differences but personally i think surgery is the best route for me- and i've given it alot of thought!
Are you very slim?
Because think girls rarely have big breasts. Mybe you could try and gain weight?

not really i'm size 8
Although i'm seriously considering a rhinoplasty (nosejob - gosh that word makes it seem so ugly for some reason) I think i'm in the same boat as you. I have a consultation booked for December and I'd like it done before I go to uni (this September).

My parents tell me i'm silly and that it's a fairly stupid idea. I understand completely how annoying it can get when people say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and whatnot. The fact is that I want it for personal reasons and to obviously build up my confidence a little.

Anyway, just make sure you do lots of research and get a surgeon who knows what they're doing. The process takes round 7-9 months from consult to op with a rhinoplasty but i'm sure that breast augumentation would be quicker (by a few months probably).

Hope this helps x
It seems like a pretty drastic step. I wouldnt do it to improve confidence, its like a lot of things buying new expensive clothes etc it doesnt solve the underlying insecurities. If you just want to feel good about your body then speak to someone about that. I'm sure you've had a look at plenty of websites and done some research on it, so you probably know more than a lot of people here. I'd advise to get it done in the uk though.
I have a friend who's had a boob job. She was about an A cup before, now a C cup.

It wasn't until 6 years after we left school that she confesses to me that she was always jealous of my boobs. The most ironic thing about it is; I'm only a B cup and she was none the wiser.

It's not what you have, but what you do with them.

size 8 is very slim (well, i think so anyway!).
this sounds stupid, but make sure you get some chicken fillets or somoething that will make you a C-cup and wear them for a few days; you'll probably notice that some of your clothes won't look so good anymore, and check that you like it! ... it's quite hard to find clothes if you have big boobs and a small waist/stomach/rest of body, and you'll find that some of your styles of clothing won't look so good (tunics etc in particular).

So very strange, how differently people think. I'm a 34E and I anxiously want breast reduction surgery. :P Big is NOT good, believe me.
