Has cocaine become socially acceptable?
The pub/club toilets would suggest so..

Pretty much

My local used to spray the loo surfaces with WD40, and that was 20 years ago

It’s absolutely everywhere
In clubs, in private, many many young graduates, seemingly living the life consider it to be a normal part of socialising

Contrary to popular belief, only about 2-3% of the population are drug users

I don’t think it’s become socially acceptable. I don’t see anyone parading that they use cocaine, it’s usually a huge secret.

A lot of people do cocaine though, and it’s always the last person you expect. I hope it never becomes the norm.

I see.

I'm more used to UV light in toilets in places I've lived - clearly a different demographic with different drug preferences

No, it's the acute hospital. The treatment programmes are held elsewhere (god knows what that place is like).

I really do not think that this is true unless these people live in middle class bubbles.
