In october, I got a job working at a bakery in my local town and after a couple of shifts got told that there was one regular slot left and I could have it - obviously I agreed. It wasn’t official or anything (I didn’t need to sign anything) but they made it clear that that was what was happening. After that, I work all of October and November which is fine. In December, I don’t get put on for any shifts at all, which is also fine because I assume that it’s because the people from uni who used to work there are back from the holidays. In January I’m not working at all but that’s because it’s there winter break. But then yesterday, I check the shifts for February and March and despite being told I had been given a regular slot I have not been put on a single shift. Does anyone have advice - should I message them asking about it or should I just find another job. Please please help idk what to do

You should make sure the next job you get gives you a contract or other legally binding document to confirm the job

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go check...

Id speak to them and ask if there is a reason why you havent been given any shifts and when you can expect more shifts. At the very least, you will get a reason for them not giving you shifts. They may even give you shifts.
Id start looking for another job in the meantime.
