I have been awarded a conditional offer from uni warwick. The letter say that i need to provide proof of ATAS clearance and visa by 2 sepetember. The ATAS clearance takes about 6 weeks to get and uk visa 12 weeks. which are in total of 8 weeks. does that mean that it is best for me to apply for these 5 months before, in april??? pls help

They won’t issue you a CAS for your visa application five months before the course. So you’ll be limited on when you can apply for that. Usually when you submit your pre-CAS details it will be ready soon enough to make an appointment.

I’d advise you to apply for ATAS as early as possible, (I am not an expert of the validity dates though). 6 weeks is optimistic as I’ve heard of people waiting several months.
