Does anyone have any advice for a midwifery university interview?

Does anyone have any advice for a midwifery university interview?


Yes.

You maybe asked any of the following things okay :-

1) why you chosen to become a midwife.
2) why you chosen this particular university to study your midwifing at.
3) can be asked things you wrote in your personal statement so read up on this incase you are.
4) how would you deal with a difficult situation with mum to be family members
5) how would you cope with a stressful situation and also stress yourself in you were in this situation at work.
6) NMC code of practice is useful to learn about
7) the 6 C's of nursing
8) how will you deal with stillbirth & bereavements while still being professional towards your job as a midwife.
9) Can you define the role of the midwife
10) Describe a typical day for a midwife
11) What are the current issues affecting midwifery
12) What experience do you have of midwifery
13) What will be the best and worst parts of being a midwife

You'll need to also think of questions to ask once finished ok.


A NHS registered midwife ( practice mentor / supervisor).

Hopefully you'll prepare better with revising on everything you can. More you revise on the better for you with the interview okay.
