how about you just... y'know... take the time you're spending writing these absurd petitions (which are addressed to the wrong place anyways), and put it into revision instead.

This is a ridiculous statement. You are not going to have a massive amount of students failing to build a career due to ~4 months of school missed 2 years ago...
Granted we've had a lockdown since then, but it's my understanding that most schools had had 6 months set up online learning and equip their students to still do well.
