Need help with studying techniques and resources

Hello i am in year 9, and I’m really struggling with maths. On my most recent paper I got a 40/80 which was a foundation paper.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for these

.Studying techniques
.how to write maths notes
.any online resources for maths
.any textbooks for maths
.how to grow my grades

I really want to do higher maths, and the school will pick whether I do foundation or higher based off my end of year test.

So I would like to start studying in preparation for that

The best way to study/revise maths is to do exam style questions. Some websites that are good are:
https://corbettmaths.com/
https://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/
https://www.physicsandmathstutor.com/

For textbooks look at cgp website but they are probably cheaper on amazon:
https://www.cgpbooks.co.uk/secondary-books/gcse/gcse-revision-guides

Most of these websites/ books have limited resources for year 9 and are mainly targetted towards gcse though. Hope this helps!
Hi, I’m in year 11 and maths can be really difficult.
Studying techniques - work through exam practise questions using resources to help explain the questions
Maths notes- write examples and background knowledge about the topic
Online resources (my personal favourite way to study maths) Corbettmaths videos, maths genie for exam questions (Edexcel practise booklets with answers)
Textbooks- look online for a maths revision guide for the specification of your exam (AQA, edexcel etc)
How to grow your grades - if you are currently passing foundation you might want to look into doing higher tier because it tends to be easier to pass. For example you only need 20/80 on each paper to get a grade 5

Thank you so much on the advice

I would really like to do higher but I’m not sure whether I will be allowed to.

Is there anything I can do other then study/revise if the teachers have placed me in foundation.

You should not be put into Foundation so early - that's crazy!

Try these: https://www.missbsresources.com/teaching-and-learning/mathspassports
