Updated Local Rail Issues Of Interest/concern To Students.

:frown: I have received the latest e-bulletin of HART (Hatfield Association of Rail Travellers), dated 17th Jan 2021 with proposed changes to both services and the fare stucture that will be of interest/concern to a lot of you :

As can be seen, in addition to the knock-on effect of Covid issues, in the tickets section note that TfL (Transport for London), because of current funding issues, are considering if Central Government allows to discontinue the very popular London Travelcard that includes travel from the likes of Hatfield, and return to the former pay as you go system with additional price premiums on services such as the underground to Heathrow.

The travelcards especially if bought with a rail card ( i.e.16-25) offer great flexibility and value for money.
If you feel strongly about this contact your SU ( I have already sent the latest HART letter on to the UHSU) and Grant Shapps Transport Minister and local MP.
