BTEC IT level 3 unit 11 cyber security

Hiya, I have my cyber security exam on monday - wednesday and I feel so ****ed. I am looking at the past paper material and its just not going into me. I don't really understand it.

Can you book a time in to talk with your teacher and go over the parts you're struggling with before the exams start? You can get a lot done in a weekend! You got this :smile:

I got a pass. Which is infact higher that I expected and I am actually pretty happy with that. It may not seem high but my goal was just to pass these exams and I was only expecting a near pass so getting a pass is decent for me :smile:

I have done part A of the exam getting ready for activity B for this Mays exam.

From Activity A i think the scenario will likely B that the wristband is used to make purchases which are then disputed by the customer as its very similar to an exam where proximity cards were used to access an office and steal equipment.

There is usually an Report from a member of staff with lots of information
There is usually always a network diagram which can be looked at for weaknesses as it a possible way the system can get hacked
There was a past exam where access cards had been either cloned or stolen and these were used to get access to the offices to steal items. The exam provided logs of the door access system. I was reading some advise on answering activity 4 and it said the logs gave the opportunity for the learner to display technical knowledge about the logs, how they were acquired and what they showed.
There is always a cyber security incident plan which is incomplete and misses out a lot of things. We need to check if the policy was followed after the incident was reported.

In the conclusion we can decide one one possible reason but can also give alternative reasons. Eg I could say card was cloned and give the reasons why but also give other possible reasons such as theft of ID cards or hacking the door access system to release and open doors.

Honestly mate don't stress. I promise you when I say if I can pass you can! like its kinda straight forward have you gone over the papers. I would love to send you them but if im honest I don't have them anymore.
