Hello,

I feel a bit silly for posting this, but I wondered if anyone might be able to give some advice ? I am a primary education student and I am at placement Monday-Friday and I work on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am really struggling to work everyday and haven’t had a day off for myself in 3 months so far as I need to fulfil my 12 hours a week at work and there is no holiday days available. Does anyone have any tips on how to manage my time or any general advice ? I feel like I’m falling apart loool

Thank you

Hey, sorry, that sounds super difficult. Can you talk to a supervisor about this? You are legally required rest breaks between shifts, so perhaps put your course and employer in contact so they can ensure you have some time off. You can also get paid health leave if you chat to your GP about this, it sounds like this isn't you mismanaging time, but rather overworking!
