University is not my first option, it is a backup I have completed my profile and my reference is in the works. I am yet to write my personal statement. How do I write a good one in a day? What structure do I use and what do I talk about?

Hello!
A personal statement should include:
- why you want to study the degree you’re applying for
- what skills you have developed
- what have you learnt when partaking in an extra curricular
A personal statement should show your passion for the subject.
Generally, a personal statement is 80% academic and 20% extra curricular.
Hope this helps!

Check out this guidance https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=6666418
Make a note of what you want to write about and then just write - you can refine it once you have a general idea.
Probably best to save writing the intro til last, unless you have an idea for it

I wrote mine in the structure of:
Why I want to study that subject and what I'm interested in within it
My 3 current subjects and how they all relate to my chosen course
My EPQ and an online course I completed and how this confirmed my interest in my chosen course
Extra curricular things (still relating it to uni)
Then I ended it saying that I'm excited to study that subject further etc.
