I'm 30 this year and an international student so my options are either university student housing or renting a room in an apartment/entire studio apartment. I feel like uni housing might put me around people way younger than me but living alone might be too isolating, especially as someone who doesn't know anyone in the country. Any opinions?

Personally, I would live in university accommodation and mix in as much as you can.
