I have been given a conditional offer at a college which is my second choice but it has to be responded to within 30 days. My first choice is the sixth form that follows on from my current school but they haven’t started interviews yet or given out offers. Am I able to accept the college offer and the sixth form when i get it or should i just decline the college one?

I'm not a specialist or anything, but...

I just got accepted to my first choice and I've naturally accepted it already, however I will also accept my second choice if they want me. I'm not TOO sure abut this, but I believe you can accept as many offers are you want (but obviously not too many), this means you get a place but you don't actually say you're gonna go until enrolment, etc.
I think you should wait for a few days, see if there's any news from your first choice and if not, yeah accept it. But tbh, even if you get accepted to your first choice I would say accept both ig. I think it's ok and fine to.

Do you know if you will hear back from your first choice one within 30 days? Are you going to be locked into going if you accept the offer? If you would be, it might be worth contacting your second choice college and explaining the situation, they might be able to extend the deadline?

My first choice are starting interviews late february so it’s unlikely i will get an offer before the college (2nd choice) deadline. The college also stated that it’s best to accept as soon as possible as they may get overcrowded in the course or something. I think I will contact them and explain the situation, thank you for your help

My head of year told us to accept at least 2-3 offers and on results day enrol into your preferred one (when you accept the college offer they will give you some detailed instructions on the procedure to enrol on results day and possibly details for an induction day before you start in September, if they offer this). Hope this helps and good luck!

Id accept for now, ust in case you dont get into your first choice. You dont want to be left with no where to go.
Then you can always decline if you get accepted into your first choice.
