Hi,

Am I legally required to inform Universal Credit about my Student finance ? The way I see it, if I don't there is no way they can know!

According to this thread, SFE don't notify automatically so if you don't fall under one of the exceptions on this page, you must notify them yourself otherwise you are committing benefits fraud. Yes, it is a legal requirement to tell them, (covered here, "changes to your savings, investments and how much money you have").
