Any single parents quit their job to complete a full time open university degree

I was going to study my psychology degree with open university part time around my full time job but was concerned about not being able to give it my full attention and the fact I am almost 42 and it would take 6 years!So I am looking at doing it full time instead and giving up my job. I am exploring my entitlements with Universal credits etc.Has anyone given up work to study with open university full time? Have you managed with universal credits an no maintenance loan etc?

I would contact Citizens Advice for a full benefit check. They can take account of all your circumstances and calculate how much you would receive.

Also, Turn2us online have a postcode check which can tell you about local advice agencies.
