I am currently applying for colleges/sixth forms. I am considering Computer Science, History, Psychology , and Art. I currently do GCSE Art, History, and Computer Science. I'm unsure what career I want to pursue but I am considering something creative and computer/programming related that has a high salary.
Is there anything I should know or any advice you have?
ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED😭😭😭

Hi for computer science degrees you don’t really need computer science alevel, you need maths to get in the best universities so I’d replace computer science with maths. The rest seem like good alevels. If you ever find 4 alevels to be too much, drop one but not maths.

If you don’t want to do computer science at uni, you can do English of your want. But all good universities need maths for comp sci.

Maths A level is a requirement in leading universities for Computer Science. If your struggling with Maths look for another course.

Any advice on how to improve on math GCSE💀💀
Past papers?
If you are finding it hard to understand, maybe a tutor? Or your school might offer a peer mentoring scheme?
But yes as people have said often the only requirement for a computing degree is maths a level

Not really if your looking at a major university they nearly all require Maths A level grade A There are a couple who dont require it but at least 75% of top universities require A level grade A because the content is very Mathematical.

Here is an example from Bath but this is pretty typical of most places.

A*AA

A*AA in three A levels including Mathematics.

I dont know if this will help but here are some that dont require A level Maths. You need to check as this was done a couple of years ago. Leading universities like Bath, Exeter, Bristol Manchester etc do require A level Maths usually grade A

Aberystwyth grade C or4 GCSE
Aston grade 4 GCSE
Cardiff grade 6 GCSE
East Anglia grade 5 GCSE. Accepts A level in Computing Science and other subjects
Keele grade 4 GCSE
Kent grade 4 GCSE
Lancaster grade 6 GCSE
Leeds grade 6 GCSE Accepts Computing
Liverpool grade 4 GCSE Accepts Computer science
Newcastle grade 6 GCSE
Nottingham grade 5 Accepts Computing
Queen Mary grade 5 Accepts Computer Science
Reading Maths, Physics or Computer Science grade 6
Royal Holloway grade 6 accepts CS, Maths or Physics
Sussex grade 6
Swansea grade 6 in Maths or Physics
